Black in Money Recovery™ is a closed program for members who identify as Black or of African descent from the continent or the diaspora. Black people often experience the recovery journey through an additional lens shaped by historical legacies and ongoing issues of racism, discrimination, and prejudice.
In this space, we explore the connection between race and our patterns of debting, underearning, and compulsive spending. Racial sobriety means cultivating a deep, intimate connection with our identity—grounded in awareness, acceptance, and presence. We live in the moment, maintain perspective, and see ourselves and others as equal members of the global human family.

In our community, we examine how generational patterns, cultural messages, and systemic limitations contribute to self-defeating beliefs around work and worth. Debtors and Business Debtors Anonymous provides a framework for addressing compulsive debting, disordered spending, and financial disorganization—whether in personal finances or within a business. These meetings offer support for individuals working toward solvency, clarity, and right-sized earning. In our community, we also name the financial trauma and systemic barriers that can keep Black people in cycles of debt and survival. With honesty and action, we begin to rebuild trust with ourselves and reshape our financial stories.
To protect the safety and privacy of our community, we do not post Zoom passwords online.
If you would like meeting access or have any questions, please contact us directly. We’re happy to connect with you!
Black in Money Recovery™ is self-supporting through member contributions. Donations help sustain our meetings and online spaces. If you can’t give financially, offering service is equally valued.
